Allison Wylde, FRGS DIC (Imperial), MA,

Allison is completing a fourth year as a tenured faculty member with LMBS; she is an Assistant Professor (Senior Lecturer) in Business Analysis, and teaches on the MBA/MA programme; Project Management and Business Analysis.

Allison’s primary research is focused on knowledge transfer and innovation in the security industry; the research framework synthesises ideas from management geography and management science; networks, embeddedness, culture and owners’ prior affiliations. Policy recommendations include identifying the knowledge transfer and innovation architecture at the level of the firm and presenting a new typology of the industry.

On a practical level, I am interested in the training needs for the security industry from stewards and volunteers for the 2012 London Olympic Games to professional development of senior executives and experts.

As a board member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) Allison is Co Chair of Physical Asset Protection Management Standard Allison working group.
Allison is also an invited member of the Cities, Security and Resilience Network (CSARN).

Prior to joining LMBS, Allison spent her career heading start ups and a significant social enterprise. She was responsible for writing bids and securing funding funds and sponsorship to over £2.5 million from private companies and charitable trusts. She also undertook consultancy work including a commission from KTM Sportmotorcycles (Austria) to identify their customer buying intentions for the range of off road motorcycles.

Allison is an elected Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, member of the Royal College of Science Association and the Economic Geography Research Group. She is completing a PhD in Economic Geography with Birkbeck College; she was previously a Science and Engineering Research SERC  post-grad with Imperial College London,  she was awarded a Diploma of Imperial College (DIC) at UCL she was awarded a Science and Engineering Research SERC  PhD Studentship in Environmental Biology; she holds a post graduate and an MA university teaching qualification from Londonmet and a BSc. Honours in Environmental Biology
